Missouri National Guard reinforcements helped contain the latest protests in Ferguson, preventing a second night of the chaos that led to arson and looting after a grand jury decided not to indict the white police officer who killed an unarmed black 18-year-old., a case that has inflamed racial tensions in the U.S. Since the grand jury's decision, thousands from Los Angeles to New York have rallied behind the refrain "hands up, don't shoot," and drawing attention to other police killings. As the tension in Ferguson eased somewhat, officer Darren Wilson broke his long public silence, insisting on national television that he could not have done anything differently in the confrontation.

The thing is when it comes to police shootings, you would rather be safe then sorry if your the police officer. It is really to bad that the police officer did kill a unarmed black person.  

Obesity Cost $2 Trillion

A report by the McKinney Global says that the global cost of obesity has cost around  $2 trillion US annually nearly as much as smoking or the combined impact of armed violence, war and terrorism. The report released Thursday focused on the economics of obesity and says 2.1 billion people some 30% of the global population are overweight and Obese. McKinney says there's no single or simple solution to the problem, but disagreement on how to move forward is not helping the progress. The analysis is meant to offer a starting point on the elements of a possible start. 

Obesity should not be a problem in our world today. If you eat properly and stay active there should be not reason to be over wait weight. This is to much money to be spending on Obesity 

Rinelle Harper case: 2 males charged with attempted murder

Girl, 16, nearly died after attack, somehow ended up in Assiniboine River

Two males have been arrested and face with to attempted murder charges on a 16 year old girl in Winnipeg police say. Harper nearly died after she ended up in the frigid waters of the Assiniboine River near the Mid town Bridge. She was attacked Friday night and found near of the bridge at about 7 am Saturday morning. Harper Rinelle is now in stable condition in a local hospital. Arrest made: 2 males charged in connection with attempt murder against Rinelle Harper. Update at 11:00 am. 

Virgin Galactic pilot actions studied in spaceship crash

Investigators are trying to solve several cases about the recent crash of a Virgin Galactic spacecraft during a test flight, including how the pilot managed to escape and survive the crash that killed his co-pilot. Investigators are trying to determine how surviving pilot Pete Sideboard, 43, managed to get out of the rocket plane and parachute to the ground from a height of roughly 15,000 meters in altitude virtually devoid of oxygen. Hart said Sideboard, now hospitalized with a shoulder injury, did not exit through the cockpit's escape hatch.

102 snakes seeking sanctuary slither into home near Regina

Sneaky Slithery Snakes 

On October 21, 102 snakes slithered there way into a house hold just north of Regina. Megan Lawrence is the Director of Rehabilitation at the Salthaven West Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center says "We got a call from a family that found some garter snakes in their basement, and as they investigated further they found a lot more. And then they started finding them in other areas of the house, like kitchens and bedrooms. So they decided then it wasn't a good idea to have them there anymore."

If this was me I would be losing it. I hate all types of snakes especially when i don't know where they are. At home around the farm there are lots of wildlife, but when i see a snake i get scared. Last summer when I was working at the lumber yard I saw a Gardner snake. So I took my boot off and threw it at the snake, then i grabbed a  nice big 6x6 and squished his head. My mom was proud of me and payed me 20 bucks. 

Ford Flakes gives mayor breakfast cereal treatment

An overzealous tiger, a silly rabbit and a polarizing big city mayor? Mayor Rob Ford is now a cereal mascot of the cereal call "Ford Flakes". Its a honey and granola blend that sells online for 40 a pop! This amazing breakfast cereal was created by two Toronto graduate students, that don't want their names released yet. The reason for the cereal being so expensive is not because of its tastes, it is to raise money for cancer research. The cereal is a remake of Airbus's Obama O's and its cereal counterpart Cap'n McCain's, according to one of the two unidentified creators. 

I think this was a cool idea for these two guy to do this. At first i thought that 40 was way to much for a box of cereal, then i realized that they were sold for cancer research. If these guys were smart they would lower the price of these and put them in local stores.

Soldier struck by Martin Rouleau in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., hit and run dies

One of two soldiers wounded in a hit and run involving a "radicalized" 25-year-old man in St-Jean-sir-Richelieu, Quebec, has died, provincial police say. The suspect was 25 year old martin Rouleau was shot multiple times after hitting two soldiers in a parking lot in St-Jean-sir-Richelieu, Quebec around 40 km out side of Montreal. The family of the soldier have ask that his name not to be released.  Rouleau hit the two soldiers in the parking lot of a commercial plaza before taking off down Séminaire Boulevard. Police have not yet confirmed whether, or how, Rouleau knew they weresoldiers.


The police need to find out why and how this happened soon. This happened to my dad once when he ran my dog over in his big diesel truck. It also happened to me when I also ran my sisters dog over on my dirt bike.
